Adjustable pedal arms

Adjustable pedal arms up to commercial use. This particularly robust design can be conveniently adjusted in the crank length without additional tools using a retraction pin. Pedalling on ergometers requires certain flexion and extension angles of the knee and hip joints (approx. 110-120° knee flexion). If the patient is unable to perform this range of movement due to an injury or operation, these high flexion angles are not useful from a therapeutic point of view. The adjustable pedal arms allow the range of movement of the pedalling motion to be set individually. This enables training at an early stage of rehabilitation. Numerical markings make it easier to find the training position again.

Request info about this product

The adjustable pedal arms are orthopaedic pedal cranks with an adjustable crank radius for ergometers and exercise bikes. This allows you to customise the radius of movement of the pedalling motion.

They are used to adjust the crank length in cases of reduced flexion capacity of hip and knee joints (e.g. degenerative joint changes, after cruciate ligament surgery, after joint replacement with artificial hip or knee joints, etc.). Patients can therefore start mobilising joints very early after operations.
