WaterRower Performance Oak Rowing Machine
The Designer Rowing Machine – The classic design of the Original WaterRower blends harmoniously into its surroundings and fits perfectly with any interior décor. WaterRower rowing machines are handcrafted to the highest standards with great attention to detail. The WaterRower Performance is a specially developed model made of oak, which features a PowerPulley system – an integrated sensor technology for the precise measurement of stroke length, pull force, stroke rate, power (watts), energy consumption (kcal) as well as time and distance – instead of the Series 4 performance monitor. With the PowerPulley system, your training data can now be recorded even more accurately and saved directly via Bluetooth, for example to your smartphone. The particular advantage is that, thanks to the technology used, all training sessions on any WaterRower become comparable. In addition, this model features a special footplate with professional foot straps, a wider pull handle and the WaterRower smartphone and tablet holder.

Performance model including PowerPulley
systemPrecise measurements for even more effective training – the PowerPulley sensor technology accurately records all relevant training data, including stroke rate, stroke length, pull force, distance, training time and wattage. All data is transmitted in real time via Bluetooth to the WaterRower Connect app. There, both average and peak values are clearly displayed, enabling a detailed analysis of your training sessions. The app is compatible with smartphones and tablets and can be paired with compatible heart rate monitors to tailor your training even more precisely.
Performance model including smartphone and tablet mountThe
smartphone/tablet mount is securely bolted to the WaterRower and can be folded away when not in use. Includes smartphone holder. Size 140–206 mm.

The original since 1988 – the WaterRower was invented in 1988 by John Duke. The American rower developed the practical functionality and timeless design of the rowing machine based on the fundamental idea that training on land should reflect the conditions on the water as realistically as possible.
The WaterRower was designed to fit comfortably into a hectic daily routine. Simply fold it down and it’s ready to go. Experience the unique sensation of water resistance and listen to the soothing sound of the water.
At the heart of the WaterRower is the patented water tank with its ergonomically shaped water paddle. This allows for maximum water displacement and generates smooth, consistent resistance. Training with water resistance is gentle on the joints, relaxing and, at the same time, extremely effective.
The WaterRower automatically adapts to the user. The resistance adjusts according to the force applied. The harder you pull, the greater the resistance. The WaterRower is self-regulating. Even a 10-minute workout burns plenty of calories, tones your body and leaves you feeling great. You can be proud to show off the WaterRower. Unlike many other steel-built fitness machines, there’s no need to hide it away. The WaterRower looks great and is a real eye-catcher for guests. The WaterRower doesn’t disturb neighbours and can be used at any time, even after 10 pm.
The WaterRower’s unique aesthetic, unrivalled by other ergometers, combined with the machine’s high quality, makes the WaterRower one of the most successful rowing ergometers of all. Thanks to the WaterRower’s self-determination feature, it can be used by anyone at any time without the need for tedious adjustments to presets. The WaterRower’s beautiful design prevents users from being put off by its appearance and motivates them to train regularly. Timeless, appealing and outstanding – the WaterRower rowing machine was honoured with the prestigious Plus X Award for its unique design and was the only piece of sports equipment to be exhibited at the Design Museum in London.
Available in various types of wood as well as steel, the WaterRower holds a worldwide patent on the water impeller, which simulates the dynamics of the rowing motion. As the wheel is pulled through the water tank, water resistance is created that feels natural, smooth and even, recreating the sensation of rowing on water.
The gentle lapping of the water enhances the sensation of gliding through the water in a boat. The WaterRower utilises the benefits of the rowing motion in a unique way: you train whilst determining your own intensity and speed. Because a boat’s stroke rate and speed are interdependent, each crew in a rowing boat sets their own training intensity simply by changing the speed at which they row. The faster the boat glides across the water, the faster the crew pulls the oars through the water and the more effort they must exert. The same effect occurs when swimming. The WaterRower simulates precisely this effect on land. Therefore, no device is required to adjust the training resistance. If you wish to train more intensively, simply row faster. The WaterRower will respond accordingly.
Rowing engages 84% of the body’s muscles. At the same time, it improves posture and cardiovascular fitness whilst stimulating the metabolism. Hardly any other endurance sport is as effective. Rowing alone is therefore a complete full-body workout and is thus also suitable for efficiently improving your overall fitness
. Water Tank The resistance in the WaterRower rowing machine is generated in the unique water tank. The resistance does not need to be adjusted manually, as it is determined solely by the force you apply.
Rails and feetThe
extremely durable feet, made from high-quality rubber, protect your floor and ensure slip resistance. The rails are also available in XL length (for users over 2m tall).
Rolling
seatThe seat moves almost silently along the rails in time with your rowing stroke during training. Eight ball-bearing rollers made of wear-resistant polyurethane ensure perfect gliding action. You sit comfortably on an ergonomically shaped cushion.
StorageThe
WaterRower takes up as little space vertically as a chair and is easy to set up. The centre of gravity is at the tank, so the WaterRower can be lifted at the end of the rails without any problems. The water remains safely in the tank.
Features:
- Solid oak construction
- Water tank with an ergonomically shaped water paddle – this allows for maximum water displacement, thereby generating smooth, consistent and comfortable resistance
- Resistance generated by the rotation of the water wheel in the water tank
- Resistance adjusts to the user’s exertion – the water resistance is self-regulating, i.e. it adjusts precisely to the rower’s exertion with every single stroke. As in traditional rowing, the rowing machine moves through the water due to the application of muscle power. The rower feels the element of water through the paddle
- The advantages of water as a resistance medium: the resistance adjusts automatically, it is gentle on the joints, the workout is quiet and has a relaxing effect, water shows no wear and tear – it is tireless

All wood used in the WaterRower comes from renewable sources in the USA; only young, smooth solid wood is used and processed in an environmentally friendly manner. As a natural raw material, the colour of the wood can vary slightly from tree to tree – it is precisely this effect that makes every WaterRower rowing machine truly unique.
