Application Dual function:
Setting for performing the preacher curl (biceps exercise) on the HOIST HD-3100:
First sit on the machine and adjust the seat height so that your feet are flat on the floor while you are in an upright position.

To perform a preacher curl (Scott curl), set the training arm to one of the lower positions. This is done by pulling the yellow adjustment pin on the training arm. Then select one of the slots in the lower section of the ROM plate (Range of Motion), which is located on the right-hand side of the lower arch of the swivel arm support. The positions are labelled 1 to 4, with 1 offering the maximum range of motion for the exercise.

Select the desired training weight. Place your upper arms flat on the arm pad. Grasp the handles with your palms facing upwards. Now perform the movement in a calm, controlled manner: Bend your arms and pull the handles upwards until fully contracted while inhaling. Hold the contraction for a moment and then slowly return to the starting position in a controlled manner as you exhale.
Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Setting for performing the triceps extension on the HOIST HD-3100:
Adjust the seat so that your feet are flat on the floor while you are in an upright sitting position.

To perform a triceps extension, set the training arm to one of the upper arch positions. To do this, pull out the adjustment pin on the training arm and select one of the upper slots on the ROM plate (Range of Motion) to the right of the swivel arm support. The positions are labelled 1 to 4, with 1 offering the greatest possible range of motion.

Select the desired training weight. Place your upper arms flat on the arm pad. Grip the vertical handles with your palms facing each other. Perform the movement in an even, controlled manner by pressing down on the handles until your forearms are fully extended - inhale as you do so.
Hold the end position briefly and then slowly return to the starting position while exhaling to complete the repetition.
Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
