Electric scooter

Electric scooters, also known as e-scooters or electric kick scooters, are scooters powered by an electric motor.

Electric drive: Electric scooters have an electric motor that is integrated either into the front wheel hub, the rear wheel hub, or the deck. By operating the throttle lever or accelerator grip, the electric motor is activated, enabling motorized travel.

Battery-powered: Electric scooters are powered by rechargeable batteries that supply energy to the electric motor. The batteries have different capacities and ranges, depending on the model and manufacturer. The charging time of the battery also varies.

Speed and range: The top speed of electric scooters varies depending on the model, legislation, and settings. In many countries, there are speed limits for electric scooters in public spaces. The range depends on the battery capacity, the rider's weight, the speed, and the type of terrain.

Foldability and transport: Many electric scooters are foldable, making them easy to transport or take on public transport. Folding is usually done by releasing a lever or mechanism, allowing for compact storage or carrying of the scooter.

Uses: Electric scooters are used for both leisure and transport purposes. They offer an efficient and environmentally friendly means of travel for short to medium distances. Many cities have introduced electric scooter sharing services, where the scooters can be rented by different people.

Safety and regulations: When riding an electric scooter, it is important to follow local traffic rules and regulations. Wearing a helmet and other protective clothing is recommended, especially on busy roads. The use of sidewalks or specially designated cycle paths may be regulated differently depending on the country or city.

It is important to note that the use of electric scooters may be regulated differently in different countries and cities. Therefore, it is advisable to inform yourself about local laws and regulations before using an electric scooter.
