Medical purpose:
AIREX® products are designed as movement therapy aids for both institutional and home use. The floor-mounted object serves as a support for a person during medically indicated and prescribed exercises to improve motor skills and balance, postural control, and/or for the movement therapy treatment of muscle weakness in the limbs and trunk resulting from a neurological or orthopedic condition.

Why are the dimensions only given as "approx."?

All AIREX mats are free-foamed. This means they are not manufactured in molds. The manufacturing process is similar to baking bread. Therefore, the result can be influenced by environmental conditions (temperature, air pressure, etc.), so the products will always vary slightly in length, width, and thickness.
