Application Dual Function:

Setting for performing the leg extension exercise on the HOIST HD-3400:

To perform the leg extension exercise, first adjust the back pad. To do this, loosen the pull pin and position the pad so that your back is flat and the knee joint lines up with the pivot point of the training arm. The back of your knees should touch the front edge of the seat cushion.

While you are sitting in the machine, the ROM (Range of Motion) adjustment for the training arm is to your right. Loosen the pull pin and position the exercise arm in one of the lower slots labeled “Leg Extension Adjustments.” The positions are numbered 1 to 8, with 8 allowing the greatest amplitude of movement.

Sit upright on the device so that the bottom pad rests on your ankles. If you feel too much strain on your knees, adjust the ROM angle accordingly.

Next, adjust the thigh support pad by loosening the tension pin and rotating the pad downward until it rests firmly on the thighs.

Test the weight. If the exercise feels too difficult, either reduce the range of motion or lighten the weight.

Choose the training weight you want. Grab the handlebars and press up against the ankle pad with your lower legs as you exhale until your legs are fully extended but not locked.

Hold the final position for a moment. Then slowly return to the starting position while inhaling to complete the repetition.

Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Setting to perform the leg curl exercise on the HOIST HD-3400:

To perform the leg curl exercise, first adjust the back pad.

Loosen the pull pin and select one of the top slots labeled “Leg Curl Adjustment.” The positions are numbered 1 to 9, with 9 allowing the greatest amplitude of movement.

Sit in an upright position with the bottom cushion behind your ankles. If excessive strain is felt on the knees, reduce the range of motion accordingly by readjusting the ROM.

Then adjust the thigh support pad by loosening the pull pin and rotating the pad downward until it rests firmly on the thighs.

Test the weight. If the exercise is too difficult, reduce the range of motion or reduce the training weight.

Choose the weight you want. Hold the handles firmly and bend your knees by pressing down on the ankle pad with your lower legs while exhaling until an angle of approximately 90° is reached at the knee joint.

Hold the position for a moment. Then slowly return to the starting position while inhaling - be careful not to fully extend your knees to complete the repetition.

Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
