NOHrD Hedgehock Oak Vintage

Everyone sits, every day, for hours. But what does sitting actually entail? We are delighted with ergonomic seat cushions, designer plastic creations, and relaxation furniture. However, the archaic act of sitting is best honored by a seating furniture that is natural and clear. Structured in this way, into a clear, geometric exterior and an organic, movable interior, the Hedgehock brings harmony between dynamism and statics. When sitting, ergonomics are achieved through mobility, allowing one's own body to shape its surface.

The perceived soft wood of the HedgeHock supports an upright sitting posture. With conventional back-friendly seating stools, the sitting posture must adapt to the shape of the stool. With the HedgeHock, however, the seating surface yields depending on the body shape and weight. The precise construction made of natural wood of the HedgeHock promotes a healthy and relaxed sitting posture. Both the precisely measured cube shape (45x45x45) of the HedgeHock, as well as the gentle suspension of the wooden blocks support an upright and active sitting position.
When sitting on the resilient wooden blocks, you move dynamically and form a new surface with every change of movement. Since the HedgeHock stool has no backrest, you tend to adopt an upright and straight back posture. This makes the HedgeHock a particularly good alternative for improving overall back posture in everyday life.

Another feature makes the HedgeHock by NOHrD unique: It is handcrafted in the NOHrD sports equipment manufacturer, optionally from four types of wood: ash, oak, cherry, and walnut. There is also a Club version made of dark stained ash wood.
