SYPOBA – A trend ‘Made in Switzerland’
What is SYPOBA? The System Power in Balance is not just a piece of training equipment, but rather a training system based on a uniquely efficient philosophy. Its founder, Robin Städler – a qualified sports instructor and fitness coach in elite sport – has drawn on his experience from more than 15 years’ involvement in elite sport. His system is so versatile in its set-up and expansion that SYPOBA has gained a foothold not only in elite sport, but also across the entire fitness industry and even in rehabilitation. There are no age limits when it comes to SYPOBA either. SYPOBA has already sparked a wave of enthusiasm in Switzerland, which is gradually spreading throughout Europe and, increasingly, across the globe.
Why is SYPOBA so popular?
SYPOBA’s strengths are evident on various levels. With just a small piece of equipment, users can train both indoors and outdoors at minimal cost and without requiring an external power source. Furthermore, the training equipment’s long lifespan reflects the high quality of the product. As the elements of stabilisation, strength-building, coordination and concentration constantly intertwine during training, the workout is not only highly complex but also extremely efficient. So what more could a man or woman want? With healthy training, you’ll get yourself in shape for the swimming season and beyond. SYPOBA not only makes you look good, it also promotes your health. Healthy and fit thanks to Swiss quality.
What sets SYPOBA apart from other balance equipment?
Unlike other balance equipment, the SYPOBA is dynamically guided. This difference is an essential part of the entire SYPOBA training programme. With statically guided balance equipment, the range of motion is limited to circular, forward-and-back or side-to-side movements, but always in the same spot. The dynamic movement brings many benefits: improved anticipation, greater neuromuscular coordination, enhanced reflexes, a wider range of reflex movements, a reduction in muscular imbalances, improved concentration and an increased sense of well-being.
SYPOBA enables various movements to take place simultaneously. The freely guided roller not only creates a ‘tilting movement’ to the side, but also allows the user to glide from one end to the other. This free, lateral movement involves working strongly against gravity, meaning that considerable strength must be mobilised to maintain balance. This two-dimensional nature generates both vertical and horizontal movement. As a result, the training stimulus is significantly greater than with other balance equipment.
Areas of application:
The SYPOBA training device is suitable for children and adults (aged 3–99). Particularly in our highly technologised world, where people increasingly work in a seated position, certain parts of the body are often underused and do not receive sufficient physical stimulation. This is one of the main causes of modern lifestyle-related illnesses. SYPOBA training sessions can compensate for a lack of exercise in a short space of time, in a playful and entertaining way. It has a preventative effect and promotes good health!
SYPOBA helps you make progress in any sport where strength, coordination, stability and concentration are essential for good technique!
In sports involving explosive power, endurance or coordination, body stability is an essential component of performance development. Unilateral movements lead to muscular imbalances, which can subsequently result in muscular and even joint strain. Through the complex SYPOBA training programme, such changes affecting the passive musculoskeletal system (displacement of bodily symmetry) can be preventively avoided or sufficiently reduced.
The following applications can therefore be distinguished:
- Strength-building training
- Prevention
- Training therapy
- Rehabilitation
- Recreation
Sypoba Physio includes:
- Exercise mat (30 x 60 cm)
- Revolution aluminium roller with rubber rings (ab roller function)
- Pole
- 2 Physio discs (for greater agility on the tilt board)
- 2 semi-circular wedges
- Spinning top with pin
- Exercise poster
- Available in natural and black
Bar: enables push-ups with straight wrists, offers grip variations, enables 3D training; attachment for the abdominal roller in combination with the Alurolle Revolution
Physio discs: attachment for the bar; device for the tilting board, which allows tilting movements in different directions and can be used on one or both legs; the reduced agility allows for better control of the tilting board
Semi-circular wedges: lateral tilting movement in a reduced form; can be used as a tool to create additional instability in the ankle or wrist joints in combination with the training plate and aluminium roller; can be used as a tool to combine the tilting directions of the tilting board; can be used to support the heels in cases of Achilles tendon problems
Spinning top: enables additional stabilisation exercises; allows rotational movements; can be used on two legs or one leg, and in a lunge position
Recommended for:
- intensive balance training
- versatile stabilisation and strength training
- comprehensive rehabilitation training
- comprehensive health and fitness training
- additional exercise variations at a lower difficulty level (spinning top, less agile tilting board)
Available as an option: SYPOBA DVD Basic 1 includes:
- Trailer (motivational sequence)
- Features (How do I use the SYPOBA?)
- Exercise instructions (What do I need to bear in mind whilst training?)
- Workout (training to follow along with)
- Interview (with SYPOBA inventor Robin Städler)
