Standing calf raises are among the most effective exercises for building strength and muscle mass in the lower extremities. This primarily intensely engages the large calf muscle (gastrocnemius) and the underlying soleus. The standing position allows for full stretch and contraction of the calf muscles, leading to maximum training stimuli.

HOW DOES THE STANDING CALF RAISE WORK?
The exerciser positions themselves on the non-slip foot platform and places their shoulders under the padded supports. The machine is then loaded with body weight and additional weight plates. The movement is performed by controlled lifting of the heels upwards into a toe stand and then slowly lowering them into the stretch. This full range of motion ensures maximum muscle activation and effective growth of the calf muscles.

MAXIMUM CALF DEVELOPMENT
The standing training position specifically activates the gastrocnemius optimally. At the same time, the soleus, as a deeper muscle, is also heavily engaged. This results in complete and balanced calf muscle training.
